ivermectin

It is shocking to see government funded media organizations write about "unproven covid-19 cures" and "toxic animal dewormers used for covid". This is a medication that has been given millions of times to human babies for pin-worms. Those reports are in stark contrast to the truth. There is however some hope and the truth is slowly emerging:
Ivermectin has proven to be a very safe medication. It's been used since 1981 by humans around the world. It's safer than Tylenol or Asperin and most of us would take those two without being concerned about safety. Early reports about antiviral activities of Ivermectin became available around 2011. Antibacterial properties were discovered in 2012. I find that Ivermectin has a comforting effect. It feels a bit like camomile tea, calming and comforting. Orally taken, Ivermectin needs about 3-4 hours to reach its maximum concentration in blood plasma. The half-life time in blood plasma is 18 hours but it has a much longer tissue half-life time (about 3 days for fat tissue and possibly longer for lung tissue).

update Nov 2021:

1) Dr. John Campbell posted a video called: "New Pfizer drug and ivermectin", which is very interesting to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufy2AweXRkc. He explains the one action of the new pfizer drug, PF-07321332 or Paxlovid, and the multiple actions of ivermectin against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The new pfizer drug is a 3CL protease inhibitor which is the same as one of the mechanisms of action that ivermectin has. As always he provides references and evidence.
The video got "independently fact-checked" by a journalist paid indirectly by Johnson & Johnson. Dr. John Campbell's response is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObTAOvgd_JE.

2) Japan allowed the use of Ivermectin for Covid starting Aug. 13. Two weeks later the cases plummeted.

Ivermectin has the capability to reduce the viral load in a person infected with Covid. This is something that the vaccines can not do. By reducing the viral load you reduce the chance of an infected person spreading the virus. Compare the height of any of the previous valleys with the current level on the curve for Japan.

It is well known that both vaccinated and unvaccinated people are contributing to the spread of the virus. One day we will have a new variant and if that starts to spread around the globe then it is absolutely proven that vaccinated travellers spread the virus and medications to reduce viral load are needed no matter how vaccinated a population is. This Corona Virus mutates all the time. I don't think we have to wait long for the next variant.

update March 2022:

There is a new documentary called "A Letter to Andrew Hill, Dr Tess Lawrie". A really interesting "behind the scenes story" about this pandemic. It's a historic document of monumental scale and possibly a key piece to understand this pandemic:
